Thanks to everyone who made it to the album launch at Mono on July 14th – it was a truly exceptional evening, with wonderful contributions from Kim Moore, Gareth Griffiths & Poppy Ackroyd. John’s next gig will be at Edinburgh International Book Festival’s Unbound (August 14th, 9pm – Spiegeltent), as part of a collaboration with Poppy Ackroyd and Writer’s Bloc. The evening will feature readings inspired by John & Poppy’s music respectively and woven into a larger narrative as the night unfolds. It’s a free event, so hopefully see some of you there!

‘Experimental. Haunting. Sensory. Revolutionary. Genius.’ – Stephanie Yip (Kemptation) on ‘People Do’

While the first copies of ‘People Do’ have crossed the counters in recent weeks, reviews have been flooding in already, with Igloo Magazine calling it ‘one of this year’s very best’ already. If you’re keen to read what else is being said about the music (good & bad of course), here is a selection:

…and while all this is happening, the production of the next music video for ‘People Do’ has begun. Film maker & visual artist Marie Lidén is currently working on ‘The Air Between‘, set for release next month. We can’t say too much about it yet, but are very excited to be unleashing it soon. Here is a little taster to spark your imagination…
